St. Luke's SchoolParent-Teacher Organization
The St. Luke’s School Parent Teacher Organization is excited to begin a new school year with you and your children! The PTO aims to provide our parents with many different opportunities to be involved in school life and build a happy, strong community of families.
As a parent or guardian, you are automatically a member of the PTO and are invited to all PTO meetings, as well as a wide variety of school events, which build our wonderful community. We welcome you and encourage you to volunteer your talents to one or more of our PTO activities.
Please contact the PTO at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or suggestions.
Thank you and welcome to the 2017-2018 school year!
TROT OFF YOUR TURKEY ROAD RACE: If you are new to St. Luke's, Trot Off Your Turkey is our biggest fundraiser of the year. It's a 5K road race / 1 Mile Fun Run that is always held the Saturday after Thanksgiving. There are usually 900-1,000 runners from the community and beyond who participate in this sanctioned race.
Last year, we were fortunate to raise $19,000! Every single penny of that money went toward paying for field trips, updating computer equipment and other wonderful enrichment activities. As with all large fundraisers, we can't pull it off without your help!
Here is an update from our new event co-chairs - Gus Reitheimer and Mark Wishneusky:
Hi SLS community, welcome to October! Have you signed up yet for the 18th Annual Trot Off Your Turkey? If you haven’t gobbled up the opportunity, consider creating your own flock this year! (A group of turkeys is called a rafter or a flock). Think of the fun you and your team will have to run or walk together since turkeys can’t fly far! Think of a team name, make up some fun outfits, and sign up here!
RAFFLE PRIZES NEEDED! Each year, a large portion of the full donation amount comes from raffle prizes and baskets. We need help to get donated prizes. Do you have anything you could offer? Would you like to help lead this effort? Let us know what you can contribute by e-mailing us at: email@example.com
