The 10th Annual SLS Golf Tournament

Saturday, June 17th

Triggs Memorial Golf Course in Providence

After many years at Swansea Country Club, we've decided to move this awesome event to Triggs Memorial Golf Course in Providence, RI.  Additionally, in light of the busy month of May (communions, graduations, etc.), we decided to move this to a later date (June 17th) so that more golfers are available.

We hope you can come join us for a day of fun, food, and great golf!

Please consider registering a foursome or sponsoring a tee sign.  This tournament is our second largest fundraiser and the money raised at this event has helped to provide field trips, technology and classroom presentations.

Contact event co-chairs Kathie Rietheimer ( or Jen Clark ( if you are interested in participating, sponsoring or volunteering.

 Project  Linus

It’s as easy as tying a knot!!

Jr. Service Ministry would like to thank All who gave of their time and talent to help Project Linus help brighten the day of local, young children in need on Wednesday, May 10th!

11 students helped serve others by making fleece blankets to provide security, warmth and love.  Blankets will be distributed by the RI Chapter to children in crisis and in need of a “blanket hug”, as is said at Project Linus.  (Blankets were dropped off at the local collection location at Knit One Pearl Too in Barrington)

More information about Project Linus can be found on their local website, or on their national website,

To All, your gift of time and talent to make the blankets and cards to put a smile on the face of another is much appreciated!!

15 children and 5 adults attended Sandwich Club Friday, May 5th. A little over 200 sandwiches with an apple, crackers and chips were made for our neighbors in need without shelter & will be distributed by Loaves & Fishes this weekend in the Providence area.

Thank you to all who gave of their time to meet the needs of others, using your hands & hearts!! And a big thanks to Fr. Bob for always taking the time to speak with the Sandwich Club about service and provide a blessing over the sandwiches, for those who will receive them & also for all in attendance!

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION:  Thank you for helping us fill the Bin!  The next Popcorn Day will be free!

Don't forget to keep on clipping!  For those that don't know, Box Tops can be found on various supermarket products and can be cut out and sent into school.  This is an easy way to generate money for our school!  SLS receives 5 cents for every box top submitted (last year we raised over $1,000!).  You can send your box tops in with your child in a zip lock or envelope or place them in the Box Tops bin located on the first floor across from the statue of Mary.
